Last month, the band shared the first half of the album (consisting of five tracks) and their lead single ‘Complete Me’ featuring Self Esteem.

Now, the second half of the album (and five songs) has arrived, along with ‘Don’t Touch That Dial’, a new single featuring Japanese rapper Yuko.

About the new single, the band’s Dave McLean said: “It was a weird instrumental track that came out of looping some short cuts of a studio jam.

“I liked the funky groove of the track and I wanted a vocalist on there but I wanted something different, so I reached out to Yuko and she got it perfectly, and delivered this excellent top line.”

‘Off Planet’ also features guest appearances from Jack Payette, Stealing Sheep, Toya DeLazy and more. The idea of bringing collaborators onboard came about when McLean envisioned different voices singing over his more rave and hip-hop-inspired instrumentals.

“Everything we love, whether it’s old psychedelia or Detroit techno, has a futuristic or outer space feel to it, and I feel like we can’t help putting that into what we do,” he explained.

The band was recently announced to play the 2023 Meltdown Festival, which this year is being curated by Christine and the Queens and will feature Sigur Rós, Warpaint, Let’s Eat Grandma, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Bat for Lashes, Serpentwithfeet, Kokoroko will also join. Links and more.
