Exclusive: Former Republican Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler is urging Georgians to turn out in large numbers in the Dec. 6 runoff election between incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and GOP nominee Herschel Walker.

In an exclusive interview with LBL Digital after a Walker campaign rally in Milton, Georgia, Loeffler, who narrowly lost to Warnock in his own runoff election in January 2021, insisted that turnout would be the key to Walker’s victory, and he had his say. Election Day performance despite massive spending advantage by Democrats in the polls.

“I’m ready for Herschel. Herschel is working very hard. He’s going to stand up and defend our Georgia values, our American values. He’s working every day, so vote out to make sure I’m on his side,” Loeffler said when asked Ken decided to return to the campaign trail to stump for Walker.

Loeffler said that every election is about voting, but it is especially important in runoff elections. He then pointed to the size of the crowd at Walker’s rally, which numbered close to 300 supporters, and noted that it was a good sign to see such numbers during Thanksgiving week.

“That’s what it’s going to take, a really strong turnout because, look, Herschel Walker spent over $70 million and there’s only a 35,000-vote difference in a state of 7 and a half million registered voters. So, it’s vital that we turn out this time,” he said.

Loeffler has dismissed any potential challenge that former President Trump’s announcement that he will run for president in 2024, given Trump’s underwater favorability ratings in the state, would put Walker in the running.

“Look, when I talk to Georgians every day, they talk about what’s going on around the kitchen table, the impact on their lives, the out-of-control spending in Washington, the wake-up call in the schools, the crime, the open borders. They’re very focused on someone who is right now in 2022. can solve their problems. So, they are focusing on the kitchen table, not palace conspiracies,” he said.

Asked who should be at the top of the future Republican presidential ticket, Loeffler said the party has “an incredibly deep bench” and it’s important to make voters’ voices heard.

“That’s what this is all about. And, you know, President Trump has put America first, and I think whoever else gets on the ballot is going to try to keep that America First agenda, because that’s the only agenda that works for this country,” she said. .

Loeffler added that he has no current plans to run for political office.

The runoff between Warnock and Walker will take place on Tuesday, December 6, with primary voting beginning on Saturday, November 26 and ending on Friday, December 2.
