Once home to both modernist artist Georgia O’Keefe and business magnate Paul Allen, this sprawling estate is looking for a new owner—for $15 million.
The New Mexico estate has a total of 21 bedrooms and 26 bathrooms spread across several buildings. It was first listed in 2021 for $22.6 million – and is now available at a significant discount.

Located in Santa Fe’s historic Eastside, this 20-acre campus offers not only a unique adobe residence with a history of famous owners – but also extensive, landscaped grounds and a business space for conferences.
First built in the 1930s, 4018 Old Santa Fe Trail — or “Sol y Sombra,” meaning sun and shadow in Spanish — was built for a Dr. and Mrs. Harold Corbusier, but most famous by the iconic landscape painter Georgia O’Keefe and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen were formally captured.

O’Keeffe, who died in 1986 when she was 98, lived at the estate until her death, reported mess,
After the painter passed away, the property was sold to a Texas businessman and his wife, who planted a Bodhi tree in the backyard with seeds given to them by the Dalai Lama.

The seed, reported to be dirt, is said to have sat under the Buddha when he attained enlightenment.

Allen, who passed away in 2018, owned the address last we knew – and it’s one of the few properties within his extensive profile that hasn’t been sold since.
The Pueblo-style main house has six bedrooms, a library, several living and dining areas, and a solarium.
There is an elevator to reach the upper floors, and the building is connected by a covered walkway to the adjacent structure with a second kitchen, a cinema, more bedrooms and a patio.
Four fireplaces pepper the property, including one in a bathroom.
There are two guest houses and a lodge to accommodate visitors, as well as a catering kitchen-equipped convention and event center with 10 parking spaces in separate garages.

Elsewhere, there’s a wisteria-covered grill area, an aspen grove, a rose garden and a greenhouse with a Bodhi tree.
“Lush green grounds and peaceful setting make this home truly one of the finest Eastside estates,” says agent Paul Duran, who keeps the listing along with fellow Keller Williams agent Kelly Allen, told The Post.
