The Post has reached out to Tyson Foods for comment on the guilty plea.
In December, Tyson Foods said that a committee of company executives and independent board directors had separately reviewed the incident and that it had taken “action” as a result of it in line with its internal guidelines.
“The board supports Mr. Tyson and continues to have confidence in his ability to lead Tyson Foods as CFO,” the company said in a statement at the time.
Bodycam footage released in November showed police officers confronting a confused-looking Tyson, who was found asleep in the bed of a female college student in Fayetteville.
Officers arrested Tyson just after 2 a.m. on November 6 after he attempted to ignore their commands and go back to sleep. The unnamed woman allegedly thought her home was being burglarized and contacted authorities.
The police report states, “A college-going woman was very concerned that a man she did not know had come inside her home uninvited.” Tyson was released on bond later that morning.
Police said that Tyson seemed “lethargic and disorganized” throughout the encounter and smelled of alcohol prior to his arrest.

Tyson later stated that he was “ashamed of personal conduct that is inconsistent with my personal values, the company’s values and the high expectations we have for one another at Tyson Foods” and indicated that he would seek counseling for alcohol abuse. .
Tyson said, “I made a serious mistake and it has caused me to take a hard look at the impact my actions could have on others.”
Tyson also apologized for the arrest during the company’s Nov. 14 quarterly earnings call — which addressed investors for the first time since taking the helm as CFO.
