The maniac who randomly attacked a 12-year-old boy on his way to school – beating him with a single crutch – has been busted, officials said.

Jamal McElwain, 28, targeted the unsuspecting child at about 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 near the corner of St. Paul Place and St. Paul Court in Prospect Park South — strangling him twice with crutches and trying to kill him a third time, NYPD and According to the video released by him.
Police said McIlwain was picked up Wednesday after a 911 caller reported a “disorderly male” in front of an unspecified high school.
