US hip-hop festival Rolling Loud has announced that it has canceled its New York event for 2023.

The festival has its origins in Miami, Florida, and hosted the first edition in New York City in 2019. Rolling Loud New York events were held in 2021 and 2022, following the cancellation of the 2020 edition due to COVID.

Now, Rolling Loud has confirmed that, due to “logistical factors beyond our control,” the festival will not return to the Big Apple in 2023.

The narration began by going through some highlights from the three Rolling Loud New York festivals.

“We saw the start of the King Vamp era, Travis Power through his entire set of Through Pain, Party on Stage and a reunion of Uzi, Nicki, 50 Cent, and A$AP Rocky headlined the coveted title in his hometown, [and] Juice WRLD’s final festival performance,” he wrote.

Regarding the reasons for the cancellation and the future of Rolling Loud New York, the statement said: “Sadly, due to logistical factors beyond our control, Rolling Loud will not be returning to New York in 2023.

But don’t worry, it’s not “bye”, more like “see you later.” We will come back to New York when the time is right.

In the meantime, we invite all of our New York fans to meet us July 21-23 in Miami for the biggest, best festival of the year.

The 2022 edition of Rolling Loud New York’s traveling roadshow festival returns for three nights at Citi Field in Queens from September 23-25.

Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky and Future headlined the edition, while other names in the line-up included Pusha T, DaBaby, Busta Rhymes, Abra and many more.

The inaugural Rolling Loud Portugal had also taken place the previous year, with J.J. Cole took part in a three-day event with A$AP Rocky and Future, which took place on July 6–8 this year at Praia de Rocha Beach in Portimão, which is located in the Algarve, Portugal.
