The shooter who allegedly killed six victims in a mass shooting at a Walmart store in Chesapeake, Va., before turning the gun on himself, has now been identified as a night manager at the store, The Independent can reveal.

Andre Bing, a 31-year-old Chesapeake Walmart employee, is charged with opening fire with a pistol inside the Sam’s Circle store break room at around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

“He didn’t say a word, he didn’t say anything at all… He just came around the corner and started shooting.

“The first person that was in his sight he shot him and the next thing you know he just started rigging all over the break room but he didn’t say a word.”

At a press conference Wednesday morning, police confirmed the shooter was a disgruntled store employee who was not on police radar before Tuesday’s attack.

A search warrant has been executed at the suspect’s home following the shooting, with photos revealing the smashed front door.

Chesapeake Police Chief Mark Solesky said the home was “cleaned up” during the search, confirming there was “no continuing risk to the public.”

Four surviving victims are still hospitalized and their condition is unknown at this time.

President Joe Biden condemned the attack, which came two days before the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Due to another horrific and senseless act of violence, there are now even more tables across the country that will have empty seats for Thanksgiving,” he said.
