Lorde was joined by Muna on stage in Adelaide this week to cover the latter’s track ‘Kind of Girl’ – watch footage of the performance below.

MUNA are supporting Lorde on the current Australian leg of her rescheduled ‘Solar Power’ tour, and their final show with the singer took place in Adelaide on Thursday (15 March).

“This is kind of a special night,” Lorde told the crowd during her set, then welcomed Muna to the stage, saying: “Can you believe this incredible band?”

She said: “It’s one of my favorite songs, and I choke, so, don’t blame me if I do.”

Describing his experience on Twitter, Muna wrote: “Thank you so much to @lorde and his amazing band and crew for taking us on this Australian tour.

“It was great to see her perform and it was an absolute honor to sing this kind of girl song with her on set last night. So grateful for this life as always.”

During the current tour, Lorde provided an update on her upcoming fourth studio album, saying that she is “feeling[s] Excited about what’s coming”.

The artist talked about the project during an interview ensemble castrevealing that she had completed “a great deal of work” before actually starting to write the music, including researching and “rewriting”.[ing] very down”. He continued: “It’s taken me a long time [to start working on the album], I mean, it just takes me a long time.”

Lorde teased material from a ‘Solar Power’ follow-up last June, telling an audience at a London show that she was getting “closer” to writing and releasing anything but “bangers”. Months later, she told fans that she had been “working a lot since the tour ended, spending long days in a dark room”.

Lorde and Muna have both recently announced new UK gigs for this summer, with the former headlining Cornwall’s Boardmasters alongside Liam Gallagher and Florence + The Machine, while Muna will support Boygenius – Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julian Baker’s trio – their first UK tour date in London.
